On July 6, 2013 the inaugural graduating class of Abaarso School of Science and Technology celebrated their accomplishments with an assembly attended by prominent community members. In attendance were Director General of the Ministry of Education Mohamed Hassan and the Vice President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Abdallahi Ismail Saylici, who addressed students and also dispensed diplomas during the ceremony.

The 25 graduates have much to celebrate, with matriculation to Georgetown Qatar, Trinity College (Connecticut, USA), MIT (Massachusetts, USA), Earth University (Costa Rica), Oberlin (Ohio, USA), USIU (Nairobi, Kenya), Westminister College (Missouri, USA) and Michigan State (Michigan, USA.)

After the ceremony, friends and family greeted the graduates and gave them advice on their next endeavors.
